Watch how he does his isometric practice motion while waiting for the basketball from the ref; three times on the first free throw, once on the second. His motion slows down for a second because he takes three dribbles and then checks his grip. Now he's ready to make each shot. You don't see Steve let his mind wander at any time when he is on the free throw line. He feels absolutely no pressure from his ability to visualize making the shot, create intensity, focus and concentration.
