Nail It - A Basketball Free Throw Clinic by Tucson's Free Throw Doc

The NBSA is proud to welcome Bill Killian, 71, as a new member. Bill is known as the Tucson Free Throw Doc and has been playing basketball since he was five years old.

In college (Marion College, now called Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, IN), Bill organized and won a free throw contest in 1960, and he has been bitten by the bug ever since. In 1987 when Indiana University beat Syracuse University for the final game in the NCAA, Bill was so happy and excited that he went to an outdoor court and made 54 in a row. Since that time he has made over 100 in a row in 72 practice settings; his record is 226 in a row. His goal is to become a free throw coach at the University level. He knows he has a long way to go to compete with the masters, but he is willing to learn and is committed to the required practice hours. He is thrilled to be a new member of the National Basketball Shooters Association.
