Honorary Member, Fred Newman, Wins Again

October 3, 2010. The Inland Empire Senior Olympic Games were once again an overall success. This event took place at Loma Linda College in San Bernardino.
The basketball portion of the Senior Games had a small turn out, in comparison to the Pasadena and San Diego Senior Olympic Games held during the summer. This could be due to other SoCal basketball events taking place too close in time to this one and if the Senior Directors of the established programs got together and coordinated dates within the California association, organizing the event dates could bring out more participants to all the events.
In the Men's Senior Division, ages 70-74, Fred Newman took yet another gold medal to add to his growing collection. Newman shot a perfect 25/25, repeating his peformance from his last outing.
