Results from the Sonoran Desert Basketball Shootout in Tucson, Arizona

The Sonoran Desert Basketball Shootout was held in Tucson, Arizona on Saturday December 10th, 2011. The event consisted of 5 shooting competitions including free throws for accuracy, 3 pointers for accuracy, most free throws in a minute, most 3 pointers in a minute, and Got Range. 16 shooters competed in the event with participants from Arizona, California, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, and Utah.

Senior Free Throw Championships Completed

NBSA and their sponsors, Huntsman World Senior Games, Nevada State Games, Wilson Sporting Goods, QuikShotUSA, The Original Ballbag and Free Throw Mastery, recently completed three very successful free throw tournaments.

Results of the 2011 NBSA Virginia Free Throw and 3 Point Shooting Championships

On Friday July 15th, the NBSA held the 2nd annual Virginia Free Throw Championship and the first annual Virginia 3 Point Shooting Championship in conjunction with the Commonwealth Games. Participants ranged in age from 9 years old to 61 years old. There were 70 total entries from 42 people making the events highly competitive and a lot of fun for everyone involved.

State Games of Oregon Results (Plus WA State Sr. Games)

The 2011 State Games of Oregon basketball shooting events had a disappointing turnout.  Only 3 shooters took part, and barring some major turn of events, the basketball shooting events will probably not appear on next year's program.

In the Free Throw event, Andy Haugen, from Forest Grove, won for the second year in the 19-24 y.o. group, making 21/25 shots.
